‘If you were to see a whole line of players from
rankings 1 to 100 practising hitting the ball, a lot
of them would hit the ball very, very well and you wouldn’t
really notice much difference between them. At the end
of the day success boils down to the belief and confidence
the individual has, and his or her ability to play the
big points.’ – Tim Henman, ‘Reflections
on Success’ by Martyn Lewis, Lennard Publishing. |

suggestions ;
Your
focus and vision of the ball becomes superb, you can
see the colour and texture of the ball at all times,
it’s clear to you. Play
each point as it comes, you are focused on winning each
point as it comes. You are a points
accumulator. You
anticipate your opponents every maneuver. It easy for
you. You
project a body language of confidence, head held high,
chin up and racquet held up with your arms swinging.
Your mind reacts instantly to produce
different strokes when you need them. Any
past weaknesses in your style are corrected and developed
to your advantage. Your
supporters will be amazed at your excellence, at your
ability to anticipate your opponents every move.
The more a particular
shot used to upset you, the more it will inspire competence
in you and this can only increase. Your
inner confidence has emerged. You
have speed, co-ordination and a winning style.
